Eva hails from high up in the Rocky Mountains in Woody Creek, CO. A dedicated member of the Bates Nordic team, Eva splits her time between gliding across the landscapes of Maine and ensuring the E-Room is running smooth. Eva is an Environmental Studies major with a proclivity towards hugging trees. Charlie Baxter (he/him) ’27 – Manager

Hi everyone! I am a Biology major from Portland, Oregon. When I’m not on the West Coast, I enjoy exploring the Northeast on foot, bike, kayak, skis, belay, and really any mode of transportation I can get my hands on. I love talking with people about outdoor trips and helping them get the gear they need to explore outside. You can reach me at cbaxter@bates.edu

Hayden Eckblom (he/him) 25 – Staff

Hi everyone, my name is Hayden Eckblom, I am a junior from Tolland CT. I love getting to spend time outdoors, especially with the outing club. Canoe trips are my favorites, but I also enjoy hiking and skiing. Winter is my favorite season and I am always looking for ways to get out in the snow. I think we are so lucky to be in Maine, and I am looking forward to getting you the gear you need to go on all your adventures!

Hey Team! So long story short here I am. How I got here? No clue. Where her even is? No clue. All I know is that I like to spend my days out in the sun, rain, snow, sleet, heat, beat, sheet…sorry I just felt like rhyming. Moral of the story, I like to be outside, and even more I want you all to get outside. I am super excited to be working in the e-room and allow y’all to get outside. If you have any questions about any e-room relatable questions or equipment in general please feel free to ask, especially anything involving the water.
