Support the Community Giving Campaign this Giving Tuesday

In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, please consider supporting our annual Community Giving Campaign, which allows you to use payroll deductions to donate to your choice of some amazing non-profit organizations that aid Mainers.

So far, 101 Bates faculty and staff members have raised $20,386 in support of non-profits associated with the United Way of Androscoggin County, MaineShare, and Community Health Charities of Maine, including organizations like Pine Tree Society, which provides Maine children and adults with disabilities the opportunities and the means to create better lives for themselves and their families, or Defend Our Health, which advocates for healthier and cleaner environments.

By logging into Garnet Gateway, you can view the full slate of organizations that receive support through Bates’ Community Giving Campaign, with causes ranging from social justice to healthcare access to the environment and more.

You can learn more at bates.edu/payroll/community-giving, and can make your gift today via Garnet Gateway. By participating, you’ll be entered into a raffle to win Bates-themed gifts, too!

The Community Giving Campaign closes on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. With a goal of reaching $50,000 from 250 donors, your support is welcome and appreciated.
