Grants & Teaching Support

Bates recognizes the profound interconnectedness of good teaching and good scholarship, and supports the faculty in both areas. The College provides funding for scholarship and teaching through a number of intramural grant programs. Each has specific parameters, and deadlines vary, so it is useful to look at each program to find the most appropriate resource for funding. Internal grants are generally reviewed by faculty committees.
