Marita has a BA in geology from Boston University and a Diplom (MSc) from the Freie Universität Berlin. Since her return to the U.S. she has also been an instructor at Salem State College and spent many summers working on the Maine coast with faculty at the University of Maine at Orono. Most recently she has participated in the Maine Geological Survey’s bedrock water-quality investigations, as well as in a Museum of the Rockies’ excavation of a Hadrosaur in northern Montana.
