The STEM/Pre-Health Student Assistant plays an important role in advocating for students interested in STEM and healthcare careers by providing resources as well as individualized and tailored support in their career exploration process. As part of the PW Student Team, this paid role works closely with the Associate Director of STEM and Pre-Health Advising to create career development programs and assist with outreach to the campus community. The STEM/Pre-Health Student Assistant role is open to current sophomores and juniors, and provides an excellent opportunity to serve as a role model for peers, gain a deep understanding of the Purposeful Work career resources, and build valuable communication and organizational skills applicable to future career paths or graduate school.

The Bobcat Ventures(BV) Program Coordinator will collaborate closely with Purposeful Work (PW) staff to promote, market, and plan BV programming. Duties will include creating communication plans, creating marketing messages to promote across campus, recruiting participants, and assisting with event planning. The BV program is a multi-month workshop series that culminates in the Bobcat Ventures Pitch Competition. The Program Coordinator will participate in bi-weekly planning meetings, attend workshops, and assist with planning and hosting the Pitch Competition. The bulk of the work will occur between October and April. This position offers an excellent opportunity for students to develop communication, marketing and organizational skills, and to gain an understanding of the Purposeful Work career and internship resources, services, and opportunities. Successful applicants will be hired by May, with a possible brief training over Short Term with an official start when you return for the fall semester in September.
