Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Social Media Coordinator (SMC) will work along with Admission Staff to manage and update all SnapChat content. In an effort to help carry out the Bates student voice on SnapChat, the SMC will serve as a liaison between Admission Staff and Social Media Ambassadors (SMA) to highlight the Bates experience and culture. Through the lens of the student perspective, the goal is to capture events, activities, and news happening on campus within the academic calendar. Most importantly, the role of the SMC is to create a platform for SMAs to be a resource for prospective students (domestic and international) who want to learn more about Bates. The SMC will frame (BIG PICTURE) content about Bates to project to prospective students and current applications in a fun and exciting way – through SnapChat!

Previous professional experience with social media desired. Student must familiar with SnapChat.

Reporting


The Social Media Coordinator will report to Audrey Burns, as well as oversee student volunteers. Additional interaction with other Admission staff members is likely.
