The Office of Communications and Marketing (BCM) seeks a creative, motivated Student Graphic Designer to support the visual storytelling and branding efforts of the college. This position works directly with the Design Team and is ideal for a student interested in graphic design, marketing, and strategic communication who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities

Responsibilities


Design and Production: Create high-quality visual materials — including print and digital assets such as posters, flyers, social media graphics, and marketing collateral — using Adobe Creative Cloud, with a strong emphasis on InDesign. Collaboration and Communication: Support the BCM Design Team by contributing to ongoing design work and helping with a variety of office tasks that allow the team to stay organized and aligned; collaboratively develop and refine design concepts; confidently present ideas and participate in constructive critiques. Brand and Strategy Support: Apply principles of marketing, design, and branding to ensure all materials align with institutional goals, messaging, and visual identity while meeting deadlines efficiently.

Requirements


• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe InDesign (Illustrator, Photoshop, or other Adobe programs a plus) • Comfortable working on a Mac platform • Strong interest in graphic design, marketing, and visual communication • High attention to detail and commitment to producing polished work • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment • Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and feedback • Ability to work independently • Comfortable presenting design ideas and discussing creative concepts • Willingness to receive and apply constructive critique • Strategic thinker who understands how design supports communication goals • Collaborative and comfortable working with others in a team setting

Reporting


The Student Graphic Designer reports to the Senior Creative Director and interacts regularly with the design team, made up of two visual/graphic designers. They may work with other members of the Communications and Marketing team as time goes on.
