FS: Green Bike Program Coordinator (S9639C)

Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

The Green Bike Program Coordinator is responsible for managing the Green Bike program. You will work with the Green Bike Equipment Manager to oversee our fleet of 20+ bikes, a bike garage with full array of tools and stands, and have responsibility for managing student participation. You may also be responsible for helping to organize workshops/events throughout the semester.

The Bates Green Bike program works two ways: 1) we lend out bicycles to students participating in fieldwork, internships, and volunteer activities in the Lewiston/Auburn community. We hope that these bikes can offer a car-free, quick, easy and reliable form of transportation. Often times a bike ride of less than five miles can be completed far quicker than the shuttle. 2) There are 3 green bikes available for check out in the BOC E-Room. These bikes are three-day “rentals.”
