2). Be able to present a Driver History report from the state which issued your license

All drivers must also obtain a copy of their Driving Record (Driving History Record). The driving record can be obtained by visiting the licensee’s home state Department of Motor Vehicle or by going online with the licensee’s home state Department of Motor Vehicle’s website and requesting the record. It does not have to be the embossed certified copy.

The driver history report can be emailed ( ) or shown to the Transportation Coordinator.

3). Schedule for an in-person vehicle orientation and road driving session

Finally, each person must receive practical training (van orientation and road driving session) prior to driving a college owned or rented vehicle. Those that are being certified for an on campus job/employment, the hiring supervisor must also certify that the operator has been trained using their specific vehicle.

All employees under the age of 25 and students using the college fleet, rental vans or any other college owned or rented vehicle must contact the Transportation Coordinator to schedule a road test. Scheduled driving sessions will be confirmed by a calendar invitation. Please note that road tests are by pre-appointment and there are limited times available while Bobcat Express exercises priority of use. You must show your driver’s license and DMV record to the Transportation Coordinator for verification AT LEAST 24 HOURS before the scheduled road test or have made prior arrangements. Those without appointments will not be given a road test. Van orientation and road driving session times are scheduled according to the times of availability listed on calendar. Email the Transportation Coordinator ( ) to request to be added to an event listed on the calendar schedule. There is a limit of 2 persons in each hour long session. A calendar invitation will be sent to those persons who are scheduled in the session calendar event. Driving sessions may be cancelled due to inclement weather which could detract from the prescribed learning or present a safety risk due to roadway conditions.

The Department of Campus Safety and the Transportation Coordinator has the right to deny any enrollment or training due to late sign up or improper/incomplete paperwork.
