Transcript Requests
We have partnered with Parchment, Inc. to process transcript requests. Please click the link below, select “Ordering your own credentials or academic records” and follow the system prompts.
Order my Official Transcript
Utilizing the Parchment service, current students and alumni may order their official transcript to be sent via secure PDF or via USPS. Transcripts ordered as a secure PDF are generally sent within two hours of submitting your order. Transcripts to be sent via USPS are generally mailed within a business day. Courier service via Fedex is available for a fee.
Transcripts ordered via Parchment are considered to be issued directly by Bates College to the recipient, and will be recognized as official by any educational institution located in the United States. If you need additional documents sent along with your transcripts, please be sure to upload them along with your transcript request.
Cost
Bates is pleased to offer transcript services to students, alumni, and former students at no charge, including paper transcripts sent via USPS. Parchment offers the option to send your transcripts via courier service (Fedex) for a fee.
Verification that your transcript has been sent
Parchment offers the option to create an account to view the status of your transcript orders. This is generally faster than contacting us for a status update.
Unofficial Transcripts
Current students and recent alumni with access to the Garnet Gateway may view or print unofficial copies of their transcript via the Garnet Gateway.
End of Semester Transcript Requests and Grading Policy
If you need a transcript held until final grades are posted and/or your degree is awarded, please make sure to check those options in Parchment when placing your order.
