About Us

The Registrar’s Office provides a range of services to students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

For Summer 2026, we are open in Lane 110 for walk-ins on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. We can answer general questions, accept completed forms, and offer other types of general assistance during those hours. If you’re requesting that we complete a form or prepare other documentation on your behalf, please be sure to make your request or drop off your paperwork with ample time before your deadline, typically three to five business days.

If you have a general inquiry or aren’t sure who to contact based on the information below, please reach out to us via our general email inbox or phone line:

Emailregistrar@bates.edu is the best way to contact the Registrar’s Office. Putting your request in writing helps us quickly route your request to the right person to ensure that you receive the assistance you need.

Phone: Please note that transcript requests cannot be accepted via phone. Bates has partnered with Parchment to accept transcript orders electronically, and official transcripts can be requested here. Most inquiries are best addressed in writing via email, but you can also call us at 207-755-5949
