Common Equipment Lab and Flow Cytometer
Lab room 306
The common equipment lab on the third floor of Carnegie houses shared instruments, used by all members of the department, including a -80 C freezer (alarmed), a prep centrifuge, an anaerobic glove box, and a shaking table incubator. The lab also houses a Becton-Dickinson flow cytometer (ca. 1993) with cell sorting/collection capabilities that is used for both student and faculty research in immunology and cell biology. Training and maintenance of the instrument is provided by Beth Whalon (x6377).
