AP Credit Policy

Advanced Placement Biology (AP) Credit Policy

Anzela Niraula ’10 worked in Ryan Bavis’s physiology research lab.

Advanced Placement (AP), A-level, and International Baccalaureate (IB) credit cannot substitute for any course offered by the Biology Department and does not reduce the number of biology courses required for the major. Although a score of 4 or 5 on the biology AP exam may count as one of the 32 credits required for graduation, Advanced Placement (AP) credit does not count toward the major. This revised policy begins with the class of 2017.
