For pre-tenure faculty, it is possible to extend your startup funds for an additional year. Interested faculty should, before the expiration of the startup fund, submit a request that includes a rationale and budget detailing your planned expenditures and how they are essential for your research program to the DOF (deanoffaculty@bates.edu). If your request is approved, your spending will be limited to those outlined in your extension request.
