Personnel

  • Faculty Personnel Committee: This Bates faculty committee reviews faculty and recommends decisions to the President regarding reappointment, tenure, and promotion.

Faculty Recognition

  • Endowed Professorship Program: Bates has more than 30 endowed professorship for its teaching faculty. This page describes the program, the selection processes, the selection criteria, and the current endowed professors.
  • Faculty Profiles: We offer faculty the ability to create a profile of the scholarly work. Faculty can update their profile themselves of with the help of their Academic Administrative Assistant (AAA).
  • Faculty Remembrances: remembrances and memorial minutes for our colleagues who are recently deceased.
  • Memoranda of Understanding: If they feel it is helpful, a member of the faculty can create a memorandum of understanding that makes visible their contributions to multiple academic units and curricula.
