2026 Poster & Sticker Design Contest 

• This year’s Winter Carnival theme is “Frost and Furious”. When designing the poster/sticker, please make sure the theme is reflected and should include “Frost and Furious” somewhere in the design.
• We encourage you to also try to craft a connection to Bates College while creating your poster/sticker. The words “Bates” and “Winter Carnival” as well as “2026” should be somewhere on the design.
• Designs may not include trademarked or copywritten characters, names, or images. Obvious parodies may be permissible. If you have any questions about whether your idea/design is an obvious parody, please email campuslife@bates.edu, and we will provide some guidance.   
• Any medium is acceptable, but must be replicable in a flat printed poster or sticker.
• Posters should be created with either the dimensions of 24″ x 30″ or 24″ x 36″. It is important to follow this so your design will not need to be shrunk or blown up. 
• Sticker designs should either be a 2” Circle, a 2” Square, or a 2” x 1” rectangle.
• Digital designs can be saved at a smaller size for submission to reduce file size. 
• You may submit more than one design for each.

Submission Process

Designs can be submitted by emailing lallen2@bates.edu. If the file/photo you are submitting is too large to be emailed, please upload it to Google Drive and share it with lallen2@bates.edu.  If you have any questions, please contact lallen2@bates.edu.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, by 11:59pm.

The winning submission for the poster design contest will receive a $100 gift card to either the Den or the school store and the winning submission for the sticker design contest will receive a $50 gift card to either the Den or the school store. Each designer will also be entered into a raffle to win some $10 and $25 gift cards!
