Proposing a Program
Bates College plans the Fall Semester Abroad (FSA) program on a multi-year basis with requests for proposals sent out each winter for fall semester of the following calendar year.
Faculty interested in proposing a Fall Semester Abroad Program should first consult with Darren Gallant, Associate Dean & Director, Center for Global Education, and then review the Fall Semester Abroad web pages for Faculty. The Off-Campus Study Committee is responsible for approving programs in consultation with the Dean of the Faculty. Proposals are submitted to the Center for Global Education, 124 Roger Williams Hall. Please contact the Center for Global Education for additional information.
A sample budget and proposal narrative are required as part of the proposal process.
The deadline for 2022 FSA proposals is May 1, 2021.
