We’re marking a century and a half of Bates Football with a weekend packed full of camaraderie and Bobcat pride!
Join fellow alumni, friends, and Bobcat fans as we honor the players, coaches, and unforgettable moments that have shaped the program’s rich history. From a special pre-game reception to an exciting on-field tribute, this is a celebration you won’t want to miss!
As part of the 150th anniversary celebration, the new Garcelon Field scoreboard will honor the legacy of Bates Football while advancing its future. Learn how this special fundraising effort offers a meaningful way to show your Bobcat pride and support the program for years to come.

Friday, September 12th
- Football Alumni Reception:
- Pettengill Hall, Perry Atrium | 6-8pm
- Football alumni are invited to an evening reception featuring a presentation and remarks.
Saturday, September 13th
- Pre-Game Scoreboard Dedication
- Garcelon Field, 12:30pm
- A ceremony will be held to officially dedicate the new scoreboard.
- Football Game vs. Amherst
- Garcelon Field, 1pm
- Alumni Reception
- Commons 221/222
- Take in the game from the sidelines or join us in Commons throughout the game.
- Halftime Recognition
- Garcelon Field
- During halftime, football alumni will be honored on the field with a special ceremony. The event will include a video presentation shown on the new scoreboard!
