Join the Bates D.C. Network for an evening of insight and connection as we explore the power of the written word. We are gathering a panel of Bates alumni—leaders in journalism and publishing—to share their journeys through an ever-shifting media landscape.

Our panelists will offer a candid look at how they found their professional voices and how their Bates education continues to shape their reporting, writing, and editorial work today.

Our discussion will explore:

  • The Evolution of Media: How storytelling is changing in the digital age.
  • The Bates Edge: How a liberal arts foundation prepares you for the high-stakes world of reporting.
  • The Path Forward: Advice for navigating a career in publishing and media today. conversation followed by time to connect informally with speakers and fellow attendees

This event is open to all members of the Bates community interested in journalism and publishing.
