In 2019, the Bates Sustainability Roadmap was introduced to guide Bates’ sustainability efforts from the present moment through 2030, with the goal of achieving a net positive impact for our community and, by extension, for the wider world.

Beyond campus, alumni in our vast network are also working toward climate solutions. But how does environmental sustainability interact with social sustainability? During this alumni panel in Washington D.C., we’ll hear from the following alums on policy, climate solutions, and the impacts today and in the future.

Moderator:

  • Simone Pathe ’11, Senior Washington Editor, CNN Politics

Panelists

  • Corey Norton ’97, Vice President for Supply Chain Legality, World Wildlife Fund
  • Heidi Lovett ’84, Senior Policy Analyst, NOAA
  • David Burns ’05, Natural Climate Solutions Policy Lead, World Resources Institute

The cost of admission includes hors d’oeuvres and a hosted bar.

  • $25 Alumni, parents, and friends
  • $15 BOLD Alumni (2012-2022)
