We are thrilled to kick off the 100th anniversary of the Bates Outing Club by hearing from Documentary Filmmaker Ben Ayers ’99, recipient of the Bates Alumni Community Service Award.

Ben has spent most of his working life in Nepal. He is the executive director of the dZi Foundation, whose focus on long-term, community-driven development has made the nonprofit one of the most effective in Nepal.

Ben will discuss his life since he left Bates and why the Bates Outing Club was such a special part of his time as a student.
