Sports is much more than what happens on the field. Join Bates alumni working across the professional and collegiate sports landscape for a conversation about their career journeys, the evolving sports industry, and how they turned their Bates education into a career in sports.

The panel will be moderated by Alex Hahn ’97, Bates Alumni Council member and former Director of Community Affairs for the Washington Commanders.

  • Career Pathways: The many routes into sports, from team and league operations to marketing, analytics, athlete representation, communications and community relations.
  • The Business of Sports: How business strategy, sponsorships, communications and community engagement contribute to the success of sports organizations.
  • An Industry in Evolution: How technology, analytics, changing fan expectations and the growth of women’s sports are creating new opportunities.
