So You Want to Talk About Race: Part I

The Office of Equity and Inclusion invites you to a discussion of “So You Want to Talk About Race” by Nigerian-American writer Ijeoma Oluo.

The book, published in 2018, combines personal anecdotes and scholarly analysis to illuminate some of the biggest questions about race in the 21st century.

Questions like “What is cultural appropriation?”, “What are microaggressions?”, and “What if I talk about race wrong? Why can’t I say the N-word?”.

This two-part series will be moderated by Vice President for Equity and Inclusion Noelle Chaddock.

While we encourage you to read the book, it is not required in order to participate in the discussion. All are welcome.
