Veterans Day Ceremony

Veterans Day Ceremony [RECORDING AVAILABLE]

All are invited to a centering moment led by The Multifaith Chaplaincy this Veterans Day, November 11th, at 9 a.m. in Bates Veterans Plaza.

Together we will hear reflective readings and interfaith prayers, observe silence, and share in the ritual of laying stones of remembrance on the memorial.

Additionally, a basket of stones will be left at the foot of the memorial from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. if you would like to have a quiet private moment to lay a stone at any point in the day.

Everyone, of any spiritual tradition or secular tradition, veterans, friends, and family of veterans, alumni, and all are welcome to participate in this event.

The Patriots Fund was established by Barbara Remick Newhouse ’66 in recognition and in honor of United States active military service veterans and their families. The Fund provides financial aid for the education of veteran family members who attend Bates.

To make a contribution to this financial aid fund please contact Eric Foushee, Associate VP of Advancement at efoushee@Bates.edu.
