Given the cancellation of the last two Short Terms and the upcoming shift to Short Term classes carrying a half credit instead of 1.0 full credit, the Academic Standing Committee understands that many students will not be able to complete 2.0 Short Terms prior to their graduation and so is waiving the Short Term requirement for the classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024. Members of those classes are welcome to stay for up to three Short Terms prior to graduation but no specific number will be required.

Members of the Class of 2025 who matriculated this fall must complete 32.0 credits, including two .5 credit Short Terms in their four years at Bates.
