The Museum is proud to announce that after a five-year delay due to the pandemic, the galleries will be filled with the work of iconic artist Ralph Steadman, with the exhibition Ralph Steadman: And Another Thing opening the first week of June!

Bates faculty are making headlines!

Charles A. Dana Professor of English and Africana Therí Pickens’ debut poetry collection, What Had Happened Was, was published by Duke University Press in March and featured in Down East magazine. This spring, Pickens was active with Maine Calling appearances, university talks, and interviews, culminating in an April 3 campus book party celebrating her book and her appointment as Charles A.
