A new look and feel for Bates Magazine
A redesign of Bates Magazine is in the works this summer and fall — the first since 2012 — with a planned relaunch in 2026.
You should have received a survey in late August, but if you missed it, there is another chance to participate in the survey. Your input will inform our new approach to content and design. We look forward to your feedback and to creating an updated magazine that captures the vibrancy and interests of the Bates community.
150 Years of Football
To celebrate 150 years of Bates Football, the college is hosting a weekend of events for alumni, fans, and friends. The celebration will honor the program’s history and include a special tribute on Garcelon Field’s new scoreboard, which is part of a fundraising effort to support the program’s future.
Open Door with President Jenkins
Hear President Garry Jenkins discuss his career journey from corporate law to college presidency at the Maine Trust for Local News’ “Open Door” series. On Wednesday, September 17, at the Roux Institute, he will sit down with Stefanie Manning for a conversation about his leadership principles. Learn more and grab your spot!
