You are invited to join the Bates baseball community for our First Pitch Dinner—a celebratory evening crucial for supporting the Bobcats as they prepare for the upcoming 2026 season!
This is more than just a dinner; it’s a dynamic gathering of alumni, parents, and friends dedicated to the success of our student-athletes. Your participation helps fund essential team needs, equipment upgrades, and competition travel.
Highlights of the Evening:
- Guest Speaker: Hear from our guest speaker, Jason Coulie ‘00, one of the most accomplished multi-sport athletes in Bates history.
- Celebrating History: We will be proudly honoring the 50th Anniversary of the 1976 ECAC DIII Baseball Championship team!
- Meet the Team: Be the first to meet and welcome the 2026 Bates baseball team as they are officially introduced.
- Fundraising Auction: Take part in our exciting auction to provide direct support for the program.
Your ticket includes the cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres, a plated dinner, the program, and access to the fundraising auction.
Tickets: $100 per person
Table Sponsor: $1,000 per table of 8 (includes a $200 donation directly to Bates baseball)
Guest Speaker:
Jason Coulie ‘00
Jason Coulie is a former professional baseball player and executive leader who has built his career on translating elite performance on the field into sustained success off it. A graduate of Bates College, Jason is one of the most accomplished multi-sport athletes in the institution’s history.
An All-American and 11-time All-Conference athlete at Bates, Jason graduated holding over 20 athletic records in 4 different sports. He was drafted in the 9th round by the Anaheim Angels and went on to a distinguished professional baseball career – including being part of the 2002 World Series Champion Anaheim Angels. To this day he is arguably the most accomplished NESCAC baseball player in the history of Major League Baseball.
The confidence, discipline, and accountability forged through years of competition at Bates became the foundation for his professional leadership career. Jason went on to earn is MBA and applied the same standards of preparation, execution, and ownership that defined his playing career to business and operations.
Today, Jason serves as Director of Operations for a private equity firm, where he leads multi-unit teams, drives performance, and builds cultures grounded in accountability and results. Whether on the field or in the boardroom, Jason’s message is consistent: sustainable success is earned through clarity, commitment, and the courage to perform when it matters most.
