From Idea to Impact: Meet Bates Entrepreneurs
The Bates Alumni Council Professional Development Committee members Jen Crawford ’01 and Susan Peillet Yule ’78 are hosting the third installment of their Professional Development Series.

Michelle Pham ’15
Inner Child, Owner and Designer
I grew up in the coastal city of Vancouver, Canada. As the daughter of Vietnamese refugees, my parents were crafty out of necessity. They passed along a few DIY tricks and their design flair to me. I graduated from Bates College and spent a decade working in tech at Google and TikTok, before pivoting to designing Inner Child. I live in New York City with my fiancé, Akshay. As a maximalist, I am always searching for rare and exceptional pieces that have a great story to them. It brings me great joy to bring color and craftsmanship into your lives.
