Purposeful Work Internships
Through the Purposeful Work Internship Program, students explore interests, deepen skills, and build networks. There are two paths to get involved.
Already have a summer internship?
Apply to participate in the 2018 Purposeful Work Internship Program. You will benefit from application feedback, goal setting, and reflection activities designed to help you maximize your experience, strengthen your resume, and build your connections.
Take 3 steps by March 2nd to become eligible to participate in the Purposeful Work Internship Program. Once eligible, submit your application on Handshake to join the 2018 Purposeful Work Internship Program.
If your internship is unpaid or low-paying, students can submit an application requesting funding by the March 11 or April 8 deadlines.

Looking for a summer internship?
Apply for paid summer internships with 70+ core employers across the country and world. Core employers prioritize hiring from Bates, giving you unique access to find out what it takes to run a hospital, mentor kids, learn to code, market chocolate, conduct clinical research…and more.
Take 3 steps by January 19 to become eligible, then visit Handshake to find and apply to PW internships (search for “PW” in the title). Deadlines vary; most core employers have deadlines of January 22 or March 5.
