Bobcat Reads: The Glass Chateau
Bobcat Reads will be discussing The Glass Château by Stephen P. Kiernan from January 1, 2027, through March 5, 2027.
In the next Bobcat Reads selection, The Glass Château by Stephen P. Kiernan, readers enter post–World War II France amid a country in ruins.
The novel follows Asher, a former Resistance assassin carrying grief and guilt, who stumbles upon Le Château Guérin. There, survivors heal by making stained glass to restore France’s bombed cathedrals. Asher discovers a natural talent for glasswork, but he must hide his Jewish identity from the devout Catholic owners to stay. As hidden pasts surface, Asher’s craft leads a fragile community toward recovery.
