For Parents

Bates is committed to the idea that each student’s experience here should include exploration and engagement around the idea that work can be purposeful, both during a student’s time at Bates and beyond.

Who hires Bates students?

Parents new to the rigor and philosophy of a liberal arts education sometimes worry about what their students will do with their degree.

Data supports that parents can be assured that the skills and resources their students build here at Bates equip them for career success, no matter their field of study. In fact, at graduation, Bates students report overwhelmingly that they are confident in their career skills.

Details for all of these resources and opportunities are available to your student on Handshake.
