The priority application deadline for the 2026 PTCs is January 19th, 11:59pm. This means applications received before the deadline receive priority for admission.

Please carefully review the information on the Practitioner-Taught Courses webpage and in this slide deck. You will find details about the individual courses, the application process, and the practitioners.

There are no prerequisites for the Bates-Tuck Business Consulting Essentials PTC. The only requirement is enthusiasm and willingness to dig deep and work with passion!

Shortly after Courtney Smith joined Bates in the fall of 2024 as an associate professor of theater, he floated an idea for a production that was both over-the-top ambitious and absolute catnip to his colleague Sally Wood, a visiting lecturer in theater who was trying to decide what play to direct in the fall of 2025.
