
AESOP trips encourage authenticity, connection
The Class of 2030, the third largest in Bates history, gathered to kick off AESOP on Friday, Aug. 28 — the day after move-in day.
The Olin 302 Sound Studio Assistant is responsible for helping maintain the organization and technical functionality of three workspaces located in Olin 302 and supporting students using the Olin Sound Studio for their academic work. The student employee should have interest in problem solving, taking initiative, and strong communication skills. The Student should have taken MUS218 (Recording and Designing Sound) OR have relevant audio technology experience. This position includes holding student studio help hours, light organization of gear and cleaning of spaces such that they are welcoming and ready for student use, as well as technical troubleshooting.
Note: The employee should not be currently enrolled in MUS 218 or DCSMUS219 at the time of employment.
Responsibilities: General studio maintenance, light cleaning and organization, technical upkeep (being sure computers and gear is in working order), maintaining a few student-help hours per week. Occasional lifting of items no heavier than 30 lbs may be asked of students for whom this is safe for their health.
