Summary, Scope, and Responsibilities

Charged with planning and hosting late night social programs and events for the Bates campus community. The member in this position will offer events and programming for Friday and Saturday night, between the hours of 9:00pm-2:00am, depending on the need of the student body.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities

Responsibilities


1.) Attend weekly CAT meetings on Monday evenings 2.) Plan and host weekly events and programs on Friday and Saturday nights in the window of 9:00pm-2:00am 3.) Work closely with the other members of CAT to make sure the event has appropriate staffing needs met 4.) Maintain a budget for events

Requirements


1.) Must be organized, responsible, personable, and enthusiastic about student-led and -driven programming. 2.) Must be able and willing to work with a diverse group of students and staff. 3.) Must be able to respond to office communications in a timely manner (no more than 24 hours except under special circumstances). 4.) Should have excellent finance and budget management skills. 5.) Should have an exceptional ability to multitask and engage in time management. 6.) Must be able to adhere to established project deadlines. 7.) Should have an awareness of Bates social life, and a vested interest in events and programming.

Reporting


The member in this role will directly report to the Campus Activity and Traditions' Co-Presidents, who will report to the Coordinator of Campus Life Programming and Activities.

Working Conditions


The member in this role will be required to be able to work in sometimes fast-paced environments with a clear head, with equitable accommodation. Prior event planning and programming knowledge is preferred, but not required.
